Two men are in custody following a tragic gun violence incident in Indianapolis that began with shots fired in the vicinity of E. 42nd Street. Officers were nearby when they responded to the sound of gunfire and discovered three shooting victims, one of whom died at the scene, prompting a high-speed chase of the suspects’ vehicle.
The pursuit involved a chaotic foot chase and an intervention technique that ultimately halted the suspects’ escape, which ended with a collision involving an ambulance. Identified as 33-year-old Marquis Craig and 27-year-old Zay McDaniels, the suspects are linked to what detectives believe was a robbery gone wrong.
