A West Haven man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred early on May 18 on Prindle Hill Road. The incident began when a female victim, arriving home via rideshare, was confronted by a masked assailant who assaulted her and brandished a handgun during the attempted theft of her purse.
Following an extensive investigation, police identified 25-year-old Desmond Hamilton as the primary suspect. He was apprehended without incident, and law enforcement seized several useful items from his residence. Hamilton now faces serious charges, including first-degree robbery with a firearm and second-degree larceny, and has been held on bond pending his appearance in court.
