Woman Pleads Guilty in Home Invasion Setup

Stephanie N. Paulino, a 36-year-old from Maryland, pleads guilty to conspiracy charges related to a brutal home invasion that took place in January 2024, where a man was violently assaulted after hiring her through an online sex-for-hire platform. The incident, which left the victim beaten and stabbed, highlights the risks associated with online engagements and the dangers of such arrangements.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that the robbery involved two masked accomplices who attacked the victim shortly after he welcomed Paulino into his home. Furthermore, police investigations uncovered that Paulino’s prior involvement with law enforcement and her battle with drug addiction played a role in her life, leading her to this dangerous scheme. Sentencing is scheduled for June 24, 2025, where Paul’s future will be determined amidst ongoing discussions about potential treatment options for her recovery.
