A woman from Hammond reportedly shot her husband in the hand before turning the gun on herself outside a McDonald’s in Ponchatoula on Monday evening. The incident unfolded shortly after 5:16 p.m. when police responded to a shooting call, discovering the 60-year-old man wounded and hiding nearby. As officers attempted to help him, they encountered the 47-year-old woman, Cabrina R. Stanley, who refused to comply with commands to drop her firearm and subsequently fatally shot herself in the head, according to Police Chief Bry Layrisson.
