Four men from varying parts of Demerara are charged with armed robbery after an incident at a Chinese supermarket in Republic Park. Andra Stewart, Nya John, Negus Lamaizon, and Matthew Jahlu, aged between 23 and 30, pleaded not guilty during their appearance in the Diamond Magistrates’ Court.
The accused are alleged to have targeted Chinese nationals involved in the supermarket during the robbery on February 12. Each has been granted bail set at $1.9 million and must report to the CID headquarters every Friday, barring court days, with their next court date scheduled for April 10.
