The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has released video footage of an officer-involved shooting that transpired on February 6 when officers confronted a stolen vehicle linked to an earlier armed robbery. The incident escalated near North Claiborne Avenue after the driver, identified as Juquan Dominick, 20, attempted to evade police, striking multiple cars and nearly hitting an officer before colliding with another vehicle.
Three police officers responded by firing at the fleeing vehicle, prompting an investigation by the Public Integrity Bureau’s Force Investigation Team. Dominick faces serious charges, including two counts of attempted murder, following evidence that connects him to both the stolen Kia Optima and another vehicle prior to the encounter. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are seeking additional information from the public on this case.
