Jalgaon police escalate their search for eight illegal arms dealers implicated in a recent attack on a police team and the abduction of a constable. Police Superintendent MCV Maheswar Reddy revealed that the suspects, all from Madhya Pradesh, were identified following the arrest of an arms dealer who provided their names during interrogation.
The operation intensified after a mob from Madhya Pradesh abducted Constable Kiran Pardhi during an attempt to apprehend another suspect in Umarti village. Fortunately, through coordination with Madhya Pradesh authorities, the Jalgaon police secured Pardhi’s release. Superintendent Reddy affirmed that measures will be strengthened to combat illegal arms trading and enhance inter-state cooperation in future operations.
