Authorities arrested the 31-year-old in March 2023 after discovering various 3D printed gun components in the family’s Upper East Side apartment, sufficient to assemble an assault weapon-style rifle. His father, Thomas Fox, expressed disbelief over the sentencing, emphasizing that Christopher was merely engaging in an engineering project out of boredom and urging the court to reconsider the implications of such a punishment.
