Salinas police recently executed a significant discovery of illegal firearms and drugs during an operation that resulted in the arrest of two family members. The Salinas Police Violence Suppression Task Force conducted a search warrant operation at a residence on Longfellow Drive, uncovering two assault weapons, four handguns, and two active 3D printers producing a handgun frame at the time of the raid.
In addition to the firearms, law enforcement seized large quantities of fentanyl pills, cocaine, and methamphetamine, all prepared for sale. Authorities stress the importance of community information in addressing the rise of untraceable 3D-printed guns, which pose a growing challenge for police efforts in combating gun violence and illegal drug trafficking.
