El Dorado Springs Man Charged with Armed Robbery

Tripp Varner, a 21-year-old from El Dorado Springs, is arrested and charged with armed robbery, following a month-long investigation into a store heist that occurred on January 17. According to the Nevada Police Department, Varner allegedly held a clerk at gunpoint, demanding cash, lottery tickets, and cigarettes, making off with approximately $3,350 worth of items.

Surveillance footage played a crucial role in leading investigators to Varner, as it captured identifying tattoos and accessories worn during the crime. After a tip connecting Varner to the robbery and cell phone records placing him near the scene, law enforcement brought him into custody without bond. As he awaits further legal proceedings, details surrounding his alleged involvement are beginning to unfold.
