Lehigh Man Arrested in Multiple Armed Robberies

Deputies have arrested 37-year-old Christopher Townsend from Lehigh Acres for his alleged involvement in at least five armed robberies across Collier County. Authorities say Townsend was apprehended after he robbed a Little Caesar’s Pizza in Immokalee while armed and attempted to flee in a Mini Cooper, which led to a police pursuit that ended in Hendry County.

The investigation indicates that Townsend used the same vehicle, owned by a family member, in all his alleged criminal activities. He is now in custody at Hendry County Jail and is expected to face charges of armed robbery and fleeing law enforcement, with additional charges likely as authorities continue to explore his possible ties to further robberies in surrounding areas.
