Charlotte Couple Sentenced for Illegal Firearm Activities

A Charlotte couple has been sentenced in connection with illegal firearm activities, underscoring the serious consequences of such crimes. Keon Deangelo Steele, 20, received a 41-month prison term for possessing a machine gun, while his girlfriend, Anna Micaiah Denise Mack, 22, was placed on 24 months probation for making false statements in a firearm purchase.

During an investigation, Steele sold multiple firearms to undercover officers, including two firearms outfitted with illegal Glock switches, which convert standard guns into machine guns. Mack’s role as a “straw purchaser” is particularly concerning; she falsely claimed ownership while buying at least seven firearms for Steele, a practice that could lead to up to 10 years in prison. Their arrests serve as a stark reminder of the legal ramifications surrounding illegal gun sales and the dangers posed by such activities.
