Two Arrested in Cambridge Armed Robbery Attempt

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two men following an attempted armed robbery at a business in Cambridge. The incident occurred at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Sunday when a 27-year-old man from Cambridge allegedly entered the establishment and threatened staff with a firearm, which was later identified as a replica, before fleeing the scene.

Authorities quickly located the suspects nearby, leading to their arrest. No injuries were reported during the attempt. The arrested individuals, aged 27 and 23, are now held pending a bail hearing, raising questions about the frequency of such crimes in the region and the response of law enforcement.
