Pedro Raldan, a 36-year-old Kansas City resident, has been bound over for trial on multiple charges including armed criminal action and kidnapping. The decision follows a public grand jury review of an incident from May 2023, where Raldan allegedly forced a victim out of his vehicle at gunpoint, leading to a robbery that included threats inside a Tahoe SUV.
According to police reports, Raldan’s defense claims that the victim had hired him for a landscaping job, but surveillance footage contradicts this assertion. If convicted, Raldan could face up to life in prison, and his arraignment is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, as he remains in custody with a $75,000 bond.
