Malik Marin Ish, a 23-year-old from Fort Hall, has been sentenced to 54.5 months in federal prison for armed robbery after a violent incident at a local gas station. Ish demanded a man’s Jeep at knifepoint, leading to a struggle during which he attempted to stab the victim before fleeing in the stolen vehicle.
Police apprehended Ish shortly after the crime, identifying him from surveillance footage that highlighted his distinctive red clothing. In addition to his prison term, Ish is ordered to serve three years of supervised release and will concurrently face additional time for a previous supervised release violation.
