A portion of Driving Park Avenue in Rochester was secured by police Tuesday afternoon following a reported shooting related to a domestic incident. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 10 a.m., responding to reports of shots fired, which led to the eventual standoff where SWAT members apprehended 26-year-old Namari Starling.
During the investigation, police discovered that Starling allegedly held a woman against her will and fired a gun from an upstairs balcony. Alongside Starling, 32-year-old Martin Lewis was also taken into custody, reportedly carrying a ghost gun. Authorities recovered a loaded handgun, a shotgun, and various evidence of shots fired upon searching the property, emphasizing the serious nature of the situation.
