Police Arrest Three Gun-Runners in Nalasopara

Three suspected gun-runners are in police custody after being arrested by the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) crime branch on Tuesday night. Acting on a tip-off about possible arms dealers, the officers intercepted a suspicious car in Nalasopara, where they discovered a pistol, a magazine, and five live cartridges inside.

The arrested individuals, identified as Abdul Karim Shaikh, Saddam Abbas Ali Shaikh, and Rajkumar Matadin Gautam, are believed to be involved in a scheme to sell the firearm, reportedly smuggled from Uttar Pradesh. Authorities are now tracing the origins of the weapon and investigating potential buyers, raising concerns about illegal arms trafficking in the region.
