Men Arrested for Stealing Army Humvees and Gear

Federal officials have arrested Guadalupe Blanco, a Santa Ana man, for allegedly stealing more than $200,000 worth of military equipment—including two Humvees—from the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Tustin. Prosecutors allege Blanco coordinated with Army Reservist Albert Reyes, who discussed plans for concealing the stolen vehicles, indicating a deeper criminal collaboration.

In the days following the theft, law enforcement recovered two Humvees, one in a church parking lot in Orange and another on a Santa Ana street. Additionally, military gear such as uniforms, smoke grenades, and artillery rounds were recovered at Reyes’ home, raising concerns about the security of military assets. Reyes has been released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
