Bullets Found Concealed in Carry-On at NJ Airport

Federal officers at Newark Liberty International Airport discover 16 bullets hidden inside an aluminum foil box in a passenger’s carry-on bag. The detection occurred on March 18 when the bag triggered an alarm during an X-ray screening, prompting Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials to investigate further.

Each bullet was individually wrapped in aluminum and concealed within a cardboard tube, raising concerns about passenger safety. The travelers, ticketed to fly to the Dominican Republic, were questioned by Port Authority Police after the ammunition was confiscated. Although they missed their flight, they were allowed to leave the airport without incident.
