Childersburg Police Awarded Grant to Combat Gun Violence

The Childersburg Police Department has been awarded a $23,540 grant from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs to tackle gun violence. Mayor Ken Wesson announced the funding during a city council meeting, emphasizing its significance in enhancing community safety.

Police Chief Kevin Koss revealed that the funds will be allocated towards various projects within the newly established Police-Judicial Complex. These initiatives aim to strengthen the department’s capabilities in addressing the challenges posed by gun violence.
