The Cairo Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred on March 21, 2025, at Tienda Latina grocery store. A man allegedly entered the store with a handgun, threatened the employee, and stole a significant amount of cash before fleeing in a white pickup truck.
Through subsequent investigation and security camera footage, officers were able to identify the truck’s owner, Kenneth Gilley, who was arrested in West Palm Beach, Florida shortly after the incident. The case remains open, and the police are urging any witnesses or individuals with additional information to come forward.
