South Boston Man Arrested with AR-15, 57 Rounds Found

A 45-year-old South Boston man, Brendan Donovan, is arrested on multiple firearm-related charges after police allegedly catch him running a red light on his scooter. During the traffic stop in West Roxbury, officers discover an AR-15 camouflage assault rifle along with 57 rounds of ammunition in his possession, raising serious concerns about public safety.

This incident took place around 12:45 p.m. when police observed Donovan failing to stop at the intersection of Centre Street and Lorette Street while carrying a duffel bag. The findings have led to charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, among others, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
