A 14-year-old boy is hospitalized after being shot by a homeowner while attempting to break into a vehicle in San Antonio. This incident unfolded around 1 a.m. on Sunday when the homeowner observed the teen and two others attempting to commit the crime, leading him to discharge his weapon and injure the teen in the lower body.

Police arrived shortly after receiving reports of both a shooting and a car break-in. Though the teenage suspect fled the scene, he subsequently contacted police to report his injury and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
