DC Men Sentenced for $1.2M Armored Car Robberies

Two D.C. men have been sentenced to decades in federal prison for their involvement in a $1.2 million robbery spree targeting Brinks armored cars. William Brock, 33, receives a 47.5-year sentence, while 36-year-old Anthony Antwon McNair, Jr. is sentenced to 31.5 years after being convicted of Hobbs Act robbery and other charges involving the use of assault rifles during the crimes.

This violent series of heists took place between 2021 and 2022, where the pair brazenly robbed armored trucks in broad daylight and later boasted about the assaults online, drawing significant law enforcement attention. Their conviction highlights ongoing concerns regarding armed robbery tactics and the use of firearms in crime.
