Armed Robbery Targets Buggy Drivers in Amish Country

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a disturbing armed robbery and an attempted robbery involving two men in horse-drawn buggies in Mercer County’s Amish community. The incidents occurred on Thursday evening, with one victim, a 30-year-old man, reporting that a suspect approached with a firearm and demanded his wallet before fleeing in a small black sedan.

Just moments later, a second victim, a 22-year-old man, experienced a similar encounter but refused to surrender his wallet. Both suspects were described as white males wearing dark clothing and medical masks, raising concerns among local residents. State police are urging anyone with information regarding these incidents to come forward and assist in the investigation.
