Oak Park Residents Victimized in Armed Robbery

Two Oak Park residents are shaken after being robbed at gunpoint while walking down Iowa Street on Friday night. The victims were approached by two men who emerged from a black sedan, brandishing firearms and demanding their valuables, which included a wallet and a cell phone.

While the stolen cell phone has since been recovered, no arrests related to the incident have been made, according to the Oak Park police activity report. This incident is one of several recent events involving violent crime in the area, highlighting a concerning trend as police address various incidents including aggravated assaults and domestic violence arrests.
