Montgomery County Man Charged with Illegal Weapon Possession

A Montgomery County man, Timmy K. Billington, 49, is charged with illegally possessing rifles, following a tip-off to local authorities. Deputies report that Billington is prohibited from owning firearms due to prior felony convictions, leading to a search by the Montgomery County Regional SWAT Team at his Fultonville home.

During the operation on March 31, officers arrested Billington without incident, resulting in three counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned and later released on his own recognizance, with a court appearance scheduled at Charleston Town Court in the coming weeks, raising concerns about firearm safety and regulation compliance in the region.
