Mexican National Convicted After Multiple Deportations

A federal jury in Shreveport convicts 37-year-old Francisco Ramirez-Gonzalez, a Mexican national deported six times, of federal firearms offenses. He was found guilty of illegally possessing a firearm and re-entering the U.S. after a confrontation over parking escalated, resulting in him pointing a loaded gun at a woman. Ramirez-Gonzalez now faces up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

The case highlights ongoing concerns about illegal immigration and gun violence, with authorities emphasizing a commitment to prosecuting individuals who threaten public safety. As Ramirez-Gonzalez was also arrested for driving under the influence during the incident, this conviction serves as a striking reminder of the legal consequences that illegal aliens face when violating U.S. laws regarding firearms.
