The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is inviting public input regarding the management of deer populations in preparation for the 2025 hunting season. Each county’s Deer Advisory Council will gather insights from residents to help shape recommendations based on deer herd metrics, local management goals, and past harvest data.
The DNR will release a survey on April 5 that will remain open until April 13, encouraging broad participation to ensure that diverse community perspectives are included. Public meetings will also be held, focusing on issues such as deer health, hunter experiences, and the impact of deer on local crops and properties.
