Intermountain Health Launches Youth Gun Safety Initiative

Intermountain Health, in collaboration with the Ad Council, introduces the “Agree to Agree” campaign to combat firearm injuries in youth, the leading cause of death for children aged 1 to 17 in the U.S. This initiative addresses various firearm-related tragedies, including suicides and unintentional shootings, emphasizing the importance of gun safety discussions among both gun owners and non-owners.

Rob Allen, CEO of Intermountain Health, highlights the organization’s commitment to suicide prevention and gun safety by providing nearly 67,000 free firearm locks and enhancing access to mental health resources. The campaign features public service announcements aimed at parents and health professionals, driving them to essential tools for preventing firearm injuries and fostering open conversations about mental health.
