Two Gang Members Arrested in Marysville with Firearms

Authorities in Marysville, California, arrest two documented Norteño gang members after discovering an assault rifle and a “ghost gun,” a firearm without a serial number, during a probation compliance operation on April 17, 2025. Raymond Hernandez Jr., 18, and a juvenile suspect were apprehended on Park Avenue as part of a collaborative effort by the Yuba County Probation Department and the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office Problem Oriented Policing Team, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat gang violence and illegal firearms in the community.

This incident not only leads to multiple firearms-related charges against the suspects but also underscores a growing concern over gang presence in the area. Ghost guns, due to their untraceable nature, pose significant challenges for law enforcement, making these arrests particularly significant in the fight against organized crime.
