The U.S. Army has confirmed the recovery of an armored vehicle belonging to four soldiers reported missing during a training exercise in Lithuania. The M88 Hercules vehicle was discovered submerged in a body of water at the Pabrade military training ground, prompting intensifying search operations by local and NATO forces.
While NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte indicated that the four soldiers may have died in an incident, NATO spokesperson Allison Hart later clarified that search efforts are still active and the soldiers’ status remains unconfirmed.
