A 30-year-old man from Worcester has been arrested for allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store on Main Street while armed with scissors. Charles Yawn reportedly entered the store early Saturday morning, threatened the clerk with a knife, and stole merchandise and cash before fleeing the scene.
Police swiftly responded to the robbery report, and after reviewing surveillance footage, they located Yawn on Main Street. During his arrest, Yawn reportedly assaulted an officer, kneeing him in the face, and resisted detainment before being subdued. Authorities recovered a pair of scissors from Yawn, who now faces charges including armed robbery and assault on a police officer.
