Two men from Stamford, Roland Newton and Lance Rhodes, are arrested following a police investigation that uncovered loaded handguns and ammunition. The arrests occurred on April 24 near Pequot Drive, where detectives located the suspects’ vehicle and discovered that both men were attempting to escape when confronted by authorities.
Newton, 37, was apprehended while carrying a loaded Glock 43X 9mm, while a second weapon—a Glock 26 9mm—was found nearby, believed to have been discarded by Rhodes. Both suspects now face serious firearms-related charges and are held on $250,000 bond each, with their court appearance scheduled for May 7, 2025. The investigation, led by the Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, remains ongoing, leaving many questions unanswered about the origins of the seized firearms.
