Khalid Jones, a 32-year-old man from Scranton, is facing multiple charges, including possession of firearms with altered serial numbers, after an investigation linked him to a recent shooting. Arrested earlier this month during a police operation, Jones was found with two untraceable handguns known as “ghost guns,” alongside ammunition and clothing worn during the incident.
Law enforcement officials gathered evidence from the scene, which included damaged vehicles and spent shell casings. Surveillance footage captured Jones with a firearm on the night of the shooting outside Solstice Bar, where he admitted to owning the guns but did not confirm his involvement in the crime. He remains in custody ahead of a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 15.
