Macoupin County Safe Families is hosting a Firearm Safety Training event on May 29, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Blackburn College’s Bothwell Auditorium. Attendees will receive practical safety tips and the opportunity to take home a free gun safe, lockbox, or gun lock if they pre-register and complete the training.
The event not only features vital safety information but also includes presentations by local officials, such as Macoupin County State’s Attorney Jordan Garrison discussing Karina’s Law. This initiative seeks to provide residents with resources and support, particularly in the context of domestic violence, helping to enhance community safety through education and advocacy.
