A judge has issued a three-year ban on gun ownership for Alexander Paffendorf, 21, after he exchanged numerous messages with Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow, the 15-year-old who fatally shot two individuals at the Abundant Life Christian School in Wisconsin. Authorities revealed that Paffendorf’s messages included suggestions for bomb-making and expressed his own violent intentions, though he claims these were attempts to form a romantic relationship with Rupnow.
During the court proceedings, Judge Blair Soper emphasized the severity of the situation, stating it was too dangerous to allow Paffendorf any access to firearms, despite no weapons being found during a police search of his home. This ruling follows the tragic events in December 2024, when Rupnow not only lost her life in the shooting but also wounded six others, raising significant concerns about the implications of Paffendorf’s communications and his potential risk to public safety.
