With several lawmakers already exercising their right to carry concealed weapons, the training aimed to provoke thoughtful discussion on safety protocols. “You want to have thought about it,” explained Rob Chadwick of the association, stressing that lawmakers should always be prepared for any situation involving firearm use. House rules currently permit practice on the floor, raising questions about the implications for legislative functions.
