The proposed Assault Weapons Ban of 2025, which would prohibit specific semi-automatic firearms and high-capacity magazines, has garnered over 100 co-sponsors in the House and was introduced in the Senate by prominent lawmakers, including Sen. Adam Schiff.
During a recent press conference, McBath emphasized the urgency of the legislation, linking it directly to the tragic school and mass shootings that have plagued the nation. “Banning assault weapons is a proven way to prevent horrific massacres from devastating our country,” she stated. Despite the substantial support, the bill’s future remains uncertain as it faces significant challenges in a Republican-controlled Congress.
