Gang Member Convicted on Gun Offenses in Minneapolis

A federal jury convicts Clenest Demon Wells, a 28-year-old suspected gang member, on multiple firearm charges linked to a string of violent incidents in Minneapolis over the past three years. His convictions include three counts of illegal possession of firearms as a felon and one count of unlawful possession of a machine gun, stemming from his repeated encounters with law enforcement where he was found armed.

Wells’s criminal history includes making threats with a firearm on a public bus and being arrested with a modified handgun capable of firing ten rounds per second.
