The stop occurred around 7:15 p.m. when officers pulled over a Lincoln MKX at East Parker Street and Sherman Avenue, resulting in the arrest of three individuals, including 20-year-old Isse Che Blamo and 22-year-old Jonathan Fully, both from Waterloo.
Officers discovered a stolen Taurus G3 pistol on Blamo, who attempted to flee, and a loaded 9 mm Stoeger STR-9C pistol on Fully, who allegedly provided a false identity. Additionally, a 16-year-old male passenger was charged for possessing another stolen handgun. With rising concerns over gun violence, this incident highlights ongoing issues with firearms and youth involvement in crime in the Waterloo area.
