Ocala police release video footage detailing a dramatic pursuit and officer-involved shooting that followed an armed bank robbery on Thursday afternoon. The suspect, 37-year-old Randall Williford, allegedly stole over $6,900 from the TD Bank and fled in a truck driven by Amanda Bishop, who was accompanied by Andre Baker. The chase reached speeds of 90 mph before the vehicle crashed into a retention pond.
Williford exited the vehicle holding a firearm and fled on foot, but after disobeying police commands to drop his weapon, he was shot in the wrist by officers. He received immediate medical attention and is expected to recover. All three suspects have been arrested, facing multiple felony charges, while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates the incident.
