Woman Arrested After 100-Mile Police Chase

A 47-year-old woman from Connecticut has been arrested following a chaotic 100-mile police chase that began at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. The incident unfolded on May 17, when the woman allegedly created a disturbance at the library and nearly struck a police officer with her vehicle before fleeing into Los Angeles County and then San Bernardino County, reaching speeds of up to 75 mph.

California Highway Patrol officers ultimately brought the pursuit to a halt by deploying tire deflation devices, successfully stopping the woman in Highland. She now faces felony charges for assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest, with her bail set at $50,000. This dramatic pursuit showcases the escalating challenges law enforcement faces as they intervene in potentially dangerous situations.
