Authorities say she made it halfway down the block before being struck by gunfire, leading to an investigation that connects her boyfriend, Michael Dutkiewicz, to the crime.
Dutkiewicz, 26, turned himself into police less than 12 hours after the shooting, which occurred around 12:30 a.m. Witnesses and forensic evidence reveal crucial details, including a door ajar at the scene and spent shell casings found both inside and outside the residence.
