A 33-year-old man from Santa Rosa, Rahul Shukla, is arrested in Ukiah for illegal firearm possession following a report from an off-duty firefighter. Shukla, who has a history of three felony convictions and a restraining order preventing him from possessing firearms, was seen loading a magazine into a handgun while walking down the street, prompting police intervention.
Upon his arrest, officers discovered a substantial amount of cash, along with additional firearm accessories, in Shukla’s vehicle parked nearby. He now faces serious charges, including possession of a firearm as a felon and being under the influence of a controlled substance, as authorities continue to investigate the situation.
