In response to the targeted shooting of two Israeli embassy employees in Washington, D.C., the NYPD and Long Island law enforcement agencies are enhancing security measures across the region. The victims, identified as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim, were tragically killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum after attending an event, provoking widespread condemnation and heightened awareness regarding rising antisemitism.
Following the attack, which reportedly involved the assailant yelling “free, free Palestine,” police are increasing patrols at Jewish cultural sites and institutions throughout New York City and Long Island.
