Riverton Mayor Tim Hancock has issued a proclamation recognizing the significant role of the Wyoming Weapons Collectors Memorial Weekend Gun Show, now in its 36th year. Scheduled for May 24 and 25 at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, the show not only showcases a variety of firearms but also serves as an important fundraiser for youth education programs in safe firearm handling and marksmanship.
The proclamation highlights the event’s economic impact, drawing hundreds of visitors from across Wyoming and neighboring states, benefitting local businesses. Additionally, the Wyoming Weapons Collectors Association has recently strengthened its local ties by relocating its office to Fremont County, with Maralyne Middour appointed as the new secretary. As a gesture of appreciation, service members and first responders in uniform will receive priority entry for free.
