An armed robbery investigation leads to a lockout at two schools in the Hilton Central School District. Following a report of the robbery at Vape King on Main Street around 11:10 a.m., both Quest Elementary and Hilton High School are alerted, with the schools implementing a precautionary lockout shortly thereafter to ensure student safety.
Students at Quest Elementary, initially scheduled for a half-day dismissal, remain on campus until 12:15 p.m. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office conducts a thorough search of the area, establishing a perimeter and canvassing nearby businesses for evidence and witnesses. The lockout at local facilities, including the Village Community Center, is temporarily lifted and then reinstated before being fully resolved, as investigators continue to assess the situation.
