A 22-year-old man from Madera is arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Paso Robles on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place in the parking lot of an AMPM convenience store, where a 19-year-old victim was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint while seated in his vehicle.
During the confrontation, a handgun discharged inside the car, although no one was injured. The suspect fled in a white pickup truck, which led detectives to trace the vehicle back to a residence in Madera, resulting in the early morning arrest on May 26. The suspect now faces serious charges, including assault with a firearm and robbery, with bail set at $500,000 as the investigation continues.
