Both teams posted a message on their Twitter feeds, stating their commitment to sharing gun violence statistics and advocating for change in response to the violence that has recently shaken communities across the nation.

The Rays have also pledged $50,000 to Everytown for Gun Safety’s Support Fund, emphasizing the importance of addressing this pressing issue. Pitcher Brooks Raley, a native of Uvalde, expressed his deep connection to the tragedy, revealing, “I did go to that school.
